Albert Schultz currently serves on the Board of the Austin Chapter of InfraGard, a collaborative effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector to protect United States critical infrastructure. He previously served on the corporate board of DPRA, Inc. which produces defense logistics software and services. He was a member of the board’s Audit Committee and Government Security Committee.
He also currently serves as a Third-Party Monitor for a company mitigated by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and as a Trustee for shareholders of another CFIUS-mitigated company.
Albert is a founder of the discipline of virtual tradecraft and an expert in the human strata of cybersecurity. He founded Krypteia LLC to provide virtual tradecraft services to the United States Intelligence Community and sold seven years later. Before its sale, Krypteia achieved a revenue compound annual growth rate of 69% during an adverse period for the National Security sector.
Prior to establishing Krypteia, Albert was the President of Tergestus, Inc. which provided classified services to the Federal Government. As President, he had the primary responsibility for the company’s P&L, strategy, budget, and sales. Albert was also Vice President of Spatial Networks, Inc., which provides remote imaging and geospatial intelligence products and services to the Federal Government and to the private sector. Albert began his private sector career in as a Contractor at Edengene, Plc, a London-based consultancy that advises FTSE-100 companies in generating new revenue from underutilized assets, particularly technology IP.
Albert’s early career was in international government service. He served as an Economic Analyst and an Operations Officer for the Central Intelligence Agency. His overseas work was primarily in Latin America. Albert was also an infantry enlisted member and infantry officer of the Army National Guard and Army Reserve.
Albert earned an AB in Economics (with Honors) from the University of Chicago and a MSc in Management (with Distinction) from the London Business School’s Sloan Fellows Programme. In 2015 he was selected as a Goldman Sachs Scholar at Babson College in which he completed an intensive ten-week study program on small and medium business growth.
Albert speaks fluent Spanish and intermediate Italian.
